Our Team

The Executive Committee is responsible for operations, education, research, events, and communications. Below is an overview of core roles and what they actually do.

Role descriptions are based on our constitution: President, Vice-Presidents, Treasurer, Secretary, and Director of Events each have defined duties and voting rights on the Executive Committee.

VP of Operations & Education
Aleksander Dana Lewis

Eligible to vote on the Executive Committee, assumes the President’s duties in their absence, ensures that all activities comply with University of Toronto policies, coordinates recruitment, and leads educational initiatives, workshops, and investment challenges for members.

VP of Research
Hamza Bassatne

Oversees the research function of the Club, including developing and coordinating analyst stock pitches, monitoring market trends, and producing research-driven content for the portfolio and educational sessions. Works closely with the VP of Operations & Education on research-focused learning.

Treasurer (VP of Finance)
Callum J Ryall

Holds signing and financial authority alongside the President, records all financial transactions, maintains budgets of income and expenses, advises the Executive on the Club’s financial position, and prepares the annual budget.

Secretary
Liam Pariente

Eligible to vote on the Executive Committee, maintains the member list, manages the Club website and contact lists, records notes and motions at meetings, and ensures members are notified of general meetings and key updates.

Director of Events
Daniel Fazilov

Serves as point of contact for external parties, organizes and hosts at least one industry panel per semester, and coordinates with the rest of the Executive Committee to design workshops, networking sessions, competitions, and other educational activities, including logistics and venues.

VP of Marketing & Communications
Louis Poulain

Manages the Club’s promotional activities, including social media, newsletters, and campus outreach. Develops branding and marketing strategies to attract and retain members, supports events with communications, and maintains the Club’s public image and content.
