Our Core Divisions

The club is structured around three divisions that mirror how professional asset managers organize their work.

You can indicate preferred divisions when you apply. Most members will get some exposure to all three over the course of the year.

Research Division

The Research Division focuses on idea generation, sector coverage, and fundamental analysis.

  • Company deep-dives
  • Sector and thematic reports
  • Macro and rates tracking

Ideal for members who enjoy reading filings, building narratives around businesses, and asking "why now?" about trade ideas.

Investment Division

The Investment Division turns research output into actual positions and structured strategies.

  • Investment theses and write-ups
  • Position sizing & risk/return analysis
  • Scenario analysis

Best suited for members who like making calls under uncertainty and are comfortable with trade-offs.

Asset Management Division

The Asset Management Division looks at the portfolio as a whole: risk, diversification, and performance.

  • Portfolio construction & rebalancing
  • Performance attribution
  • Risk and drawdown management

Great for members interested in portfolio-level thinking, factor exposure, and the long-term behavior of strategies.

Which division should you choose?

You don't need prior finance experience.

Applications are open to students from any faculty and year. You can indicate your preferences on the application form, but you won't be penalized for being undecided.

If you're not sure where you fit, select "Open to any" on your application and we'll place you where you'll learn the most.
